The DB4 GT is a road car from Aston Martin, with rear wheel drive, a front positioned engine and a 2 door coupé body style. The 6 cylinder, double overhead camshaft naturally aspirated engine has 2 valves per cylinder and a displacement of 3.7 litres. It musters power and torque figures of 302 bhp (306 PS/225 kW) at 6000 rpm and 366 Nm (270 lbft/37.3 kgm) at 5000 rpm respectively. The engine supplies its power through to the wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox. Having a stated kerb weight of 1269 kg, the Aston Martin DB4 GT can dispense with the 0-60 mph yardstick in 6.4 seconds and the quarter mile from rest in 14 seconds. Maximum speed stated is 245 km/h or 152 mph.
DB4 GT was 85Kg lighter than the DB4 and was raced extensively with success by many famous drivers of the day. 75 ‘Touring’ bodied cars were built including several lightweight versions produced specifically for racing to demonstrate the car’s superb capabilities.
Special thanks to all those who have helped in any way, big or small, this wouldn't have been possible without your support.
