The TVR Tuscan T400R is a racing car created by TVR between 2003 and 2005. After a first attempt by the British company to approach the world of competitions using the TVR Cerbera Speed 12, it was decided by the majority shareholder Peter Wheeler to create a new model that could compete in races with Porsche and Ferrari cars. For this reason, the TVR T400R was born, derived from the TVR Tuscan. This car is equipped with a 400 hp 6-cylinder 4-litre engine. This model can be approved for both track and road use. The car was raced for the first time in 2004 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans by the DeWalt racing team, but despite the efforts of the British drivers, the two cars crossed the final finish line 29 laps behind the more aggressive Porsches. In the British GT Championship, however, the T400s managed to better express their potential. In 2005 three T400s were fielded by the Team LNT teams (in the Le Mans Series and the FIA GT Championship) and Peninsula team (also in the Le Mans Series and the 24 Hours of Le Mans). After an initial victory at the 1000 km of Spa, the cars encountered numerous problems in the remaining races.
